Creating on multiple platforms is an important part of my vision, expression, and lifestyle. I thrive on the challenge of processing my thoughts, emotions, and what I can imagine through creative works. The context and subjects of my works evolve and fluctuate, just like my life. It's my ambition to translate and exchange with the viewer while I speak through my art. I remain curious about all possibilities and positive changes I can manifest through creating artwork. The universal language of art for me has the power of connection. An artist reveals oneself, showing vulnerability and strength, celebrating true identity with the viewer. Kim Anguiano was born and raised in San Antonio. Kim’s creative journey reflects the city’s diverse culture through varied artistic interpretations. With her “Self-Ease” series, launched during Contemporary Art Month in 2024, she explored empathy, self-discovery and self-love through abstract, faceless figures symbolizing shared humanity. Using mixed media: paint, resin, reflective accents, insulation board, wire, and texture, Kim aims to plant seeds of new possibilities and foster a deeper understanding of ourselves and one another beyond differences. Kim has been represented at the SAAC and Doriva Local Art Source Gallery since 2020. Honored and humbled to have been a creative within the San Antonio by my day work with the performing arts community as a wig stylist and dresser, including multimedia and visual art. Includes S.A. and ATX rock scene, Ballet SA, Opera SA, including Broadway Tours at Majestic Theatre. The interactive “Power” was installed at Girls Inc. and Alpha Women’s Home for art therapy.
